Like the protagonist of a novel in his own jewellery design, designer Lin Shiao Tung has woven intricate emotions into the My Jade series. His childhood memories of wearing jade is one of the main motivations for him to express his oriental cultural identity, exhibiting elegance and confidence. He underscores that his designs are intended to commemorate significant events in life, much like writing a novel, a novel that he intends to keep on writing.
