Drawing upon Lin Shiao Tung's artistic journey, this art installation is composed of thousands of hand-drawn sketches, beckoning visitors into a realm of distinct emotional resonance. Lin defies conventional jewellery structures and metamorphoses space and lines into miniature sculptures that adorn the wearer, fostering the most exquisite expression of gemstones through inventive artistry and precision craftsmanship. Themed on "The Flower of Celebration," this work is based on Chongqing's city flower – the camellia, and incorporates the city's distinctive humanistic and spiritual values. The artist's idiosyncratic perspective is manifested in the minimalist lines that delineate the camellia's form and beauty, symbolising the unique emotional connection among people that flourishes felicity under the flowers. While the camellia is in full bloom, let us all exult in celebration.
